Binding: 3. Imposing or commanding adherence to a commitment, an obligation, or a duty: binding arbitration; a binding agreement. The agreement is non-binding by virtue of imposing no obligations. Leaving the contract has nothing to do with it-- the Agoran definition of being in a contract is wholly different from the ordinary-language one, the latter implying obligations.
