A role is an Office only if it is so defined by the rules. Each Office
is filled (held) by a single Partnership whose name is the same as
that Office. Said Partnership is the Officer of that Office and may be
referred to as an Officer Partnership.
The contract governing any Officer Partnership shall remain public at
all times, and may only be amended as allowed in that contract, or by
an Instrument with Power >= 2. A Player may make any person party to
an Officer Partnership with Agoran Consent. An Officer Partnership
remains a partnership even if the number of parties to its agreement
is less than 2. This superceeds the definition of partnerships in
R2145.
If at the end of any quarter no attempt has been made to change the
basis of an Officer Partnership under the provisions of this rule,
then the IADoP SHALL make at least one such attempt in the following
quarter, and SHALL make the change if consent is achieved. These
requirements are waived if another player makes such a change during
the following quarter.

Repeal R2154 Replacing Officers
In R2138 The International Associate Director of Personnel, remove
section c) in the final paragraph.
For each Office in the ruleset, create an R1742 Contract with the
below text, substituting each occurrence of *office* with the name of
that Office. Make the player who was Officer of that Office prior to
the passage of this proposal a party to that Contract.

1. This is a public binding agreement governed by the Rules of Agora.
Parties to this agreement are known as Partners.
2. The Partners shall jointly act as a partnership, in a manner
governed by this agreement. The ability of each Partner to act as an
individual is not thereby impaired. The partnership shall be known as
*office*.
3. *office* may incur obligations, rights, and privileges under the
Rules of Agora. The Partners may act on behalf of *office* to satisfy
such obligations and to exercise such rights and privileges, as
permitted by this agreement.
4. The Partners shall ensure that *office* obeys the Rules of Agora to
the maximum possible extent.
5. Unless otherwise determined, the Chair of *office* is the Partner
who has continuously been a party to this agreement for the longest
period of time. The Chair may act on behalf of *office* without the
consent of the other Partners to this agreement. Any other party to
this agreement may act on behalf of *office* with the majority consent
of the Parnters. A Partner acts on behalf of *office* by announcing
the action and clearly indicating it is performed by *office*.
6. This agreement may amended by the majority consent of the Partners
if the number of Partners to this agreement is greater than or equal
to 3.
7. No person may become party to this agreement except as is specified
in the rules of Agora. A Partner may cease to be party to this
contract by announcement.
