What does it mean for an item on the map to break a line?

To be on a coordinate that is also collinear but in between 2 of the contestants. I thought "breaks the line" reads more easily though or do you think it is too ambiguous?

Points:
1) Upon a contestant's correct announcement that e in a pattern, the

possible), provided e has not already done so that week for the same
pattern.

This no longer allows contestants to mooch off of a pattern created by
contestants of another party. I liked that subtlety.

You want contestants not in the party to be part of the pattern?
