I was not sure in the past, when making such "agreements", that they were actually agreements, precisely because of the plurals issue (and because it doesn't ask for "consent" of other parties). Did it anyway, I hoped to behave as promised or live up to obligations and not end up in the courts. I would say the rules don't/didn't support it though, so I agree with the judgement. Here's what we want: feel free to edit and propose: Proto: Pledges Enact the following Rule: A single player may publicly make a Pledge to Agora to behave or not behave in a certain way, by explicitly stating e is making a pledge. The Player MUST NOT break such a pledge. E may specify compensatory damages that would be assessed to emself for breaking such a pledge, or time limits or conditions for the pledge expiring, these will be enforced to the fullest extent possible in the Rules and may only be withdrawn or changed as e specifies when making the pledge. If no time limit is specified in the pledge, it expires two weeks from being made. -Goethe
