Let’s say you practice particular religious beliefs. But a government has determined that those beliefs interfere with their authority. So your cognitive functions are modified over time via BCI where you are steered away from those beliefs and for example your country is going to war soon and the government needs more soldiers. And you have been BCI'd to where you believe the opposing country is evil and you now want to kill them all and that has become acceptable where previously you would have been against taking human lives. But this war would benefit the world economy. Wouldn't that scenario be a problem? Or does the world economy's health take precedence over individual beliefs? ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Tc4893f461ea5d61a-Mae637606de27abe57176b4d7 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
