Yep, there is an unfortunate inevitability to it that is common across the
globe, just see the money that Canadian govt is pouring into Cohere. Or how
Chinese state-industry relations have come to be. Most US industries already
have basically the "Big 4" types with some govt protection/support making the
most of it globally. If I remember correctly, many online prediction markets
have been betting over the probability and scenarios of nationalized A(G)I from
past few years now. From the eyes of the security state the math behind AGIs
can just be seen as an information hazard and thus another item on Wassenaar
type agendas. The system to do this is already well institutionalized.

Just ran across this:
https://x.com/thehonestlypod/status/1866483590243999796
Marc Andreessen claims the Biden admin wanted to nationalize AI,
including classifying the math underlying AI.
Does anyone know of any corroboration for this?
I recall back in the 1970s the feds classified cryptography
research. Several academics found that they could no longer
talk about their work.
