A crackpot to me is somebody out of touch with reality, such as one having delusions of grandeur. Their methods are unsound (I like Apocalypse Now lines).... But everyone here wants real AI... Is that alone a crackpot? It used to be, but in recent years it is more common to be on the hype side. The whole world, now, is crackpot!
