I remember going to Animal Farm and listening to crazy (not!) Doug Clark warn 
that the Internet would change from the information superhighway to the 
entertainment superhighway and things would never be the same.  Maybe he was a 
time traveler from the future sent to warn us.  Or a terminator sent to kill 
Reed Hastings before it was too late.

 

I don’t remember if we called it streaming then.  20 years ago if someone said 
they were streaming, we would reply “Huh?”

 

10 years ago we didn’t have “devices”.  5 years ago we didn’t use the terms 
“WFH” or “RTO”.  And the world wasn’t obsessed with “AI”.
