It's been heavily in the tech news this last few months - Broadcom are quite eager to have you buy a subscription service for 500-1000% of the original pricing. They need someone to help them pay off the huge cost of the acquisition...
The big companies will likely grin and bear it (except for AT&T), the small ones are mostly doing the effort to transition to those and other open source VM systems.
