I’ve created a single battery tool (we call it SOB for Survey On Battery) for a
multitude of uses and cross-platform devices. The SOB supports 24V regular and
reverse PoE and also 48V 4-pair PoE+. It will be used for the temporary power
of both SMs and APs.

With the SOB we can test AP placement in remote locations with nothing more
than a compact battery tool. For instance, when finding the ideal placement of
CBRS APs, the SOB allows us to make best use of changing geographical features
(hills, trees, etc.) by testing real-world performance to the connected SMs. RF
modeling software is a great, but we use it as a compliment to real-world
testing. The SOB allows us to be efficiently mobile and flexible in those
real-world validation tests.

We have SMs that consume mid-40’s and APs that consume low 300’s in wattage.

Why would you need 350 watts for a survey pack? No SM's out there today use
anywhere close to that.

Thanks for the suggestion; the PowerLink looks cool and compact.
I need 4-pair 48v PoE at 350 watts and a gig port; as far as I can tell the
PowerLink can’t handle that wattage or gig port.

Just plug in a PowerLink. Problem solved.

Since the list is quiet...

I’ve been developing a new compact battery survey tool and had need for a tiny
gigabit switch. I discovered BotBlox, a company in the UK, whom has developed
some creative and extremely compact switching solutions. The website and
products has a Packetflux feel (which I like).

Thought I’d pass along the resource.
