There are a ton fo projectile solutions, some as far as laser sighting. RC
tracked cable pullers are a thing too.
The be all, and all is installing tray so you always have the path, but you
have to lift tiles for that
if you have the height and a drone, plus a nine year old who can actually
operate it thanks to video games, thats an option too
There are tip attachments for this purpose or the rods, light weight metal
wires in balloon shapes.
if youre losing mounce at the far end and keep hanging up you can take 3/4
inch PVC and sleeve the push rods (just use dry couplers to add more
sticks. this will get your contact point on the rod out further so you dont
lose as much energy across the span
