I just can’t see why we need more than one router. BGP to the world. VLAN to the Calix. Not sure exactly how we would do DHCP. But this does not appear to be horribly complex.

Juniper MX204 acting as BNG and Edge - Plenty of balls to do both. You need subscriber services licensing which isn't cheap. The 204 is replacing two MX5s and a MX104. Juniper ACX2100 to run management out of band and as an emergency router. If it was just doing OOB MGMT an 1100 or 1000 would be fine. If you aren't running a BNG, an ACX2100 or even 1100 or 1000 could run the whole thing. I run 1100s in ODC100 cabinets connected to an E7-2 which works well. Inbound DIA circuit Router DHCP Anything else? I have the C.O. building, the battery plant, back up power etc etc. Right now I am taking a feed off of another Calix system. So I am essentially just a subdivision off of them. But if I had to do it without them, curious what all I need. -- AF mailing list AF@af.afmug.com http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- Carl Peterson PORT NETWORKS 401 E Pratt St, Ste 2553 Baltimore, MD 21202 (410) 637-3707 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- AF mailing list AF@af.afmug.com http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
