i used to do side work for a remote hnds company, 1099, 15-25 an hour, but
it was literal dumb hands, i quit cause it was frustrating. stuff like
going to tower sites and hot swapping cards read of the leds and leave, or
go tone out a wire, etc. kills you walking away with a fault light on or
the customer upset cause their phones are still non functioning and you
cant, per contract, go any further in troubleshooting. iirc the mileage pay
was something crazy high like 85 cents a mile.

taking that cost all the way back to the customer i would bet theyre paying
anywhere between 65 and 200 an hour if theyre not on a contract.

I think rate would realy depend on whether its smart hands or dumb hands
