I would actually go lower diameter at 3/8” Unless you are pulling up the tower itself 5000’ is plenty strong and considerably lighter than the 1/2” or the 5/8”.
The one you linked to is a good rope. I think we have the 3/8” as our main haul line. We have heavier 1/2" and 5/8” ropes for climbing ropes.
