All coronaviruses (coronavirusi?) mutate so rapidly that by the time anyone produces a vaccine, the original target will have evolved itself out of existence. That's at least part of the reason we still don't have a vaccine for the common cold (also from coronavirus family).

I thought the more aggressive strain was the original one though, so might not really be bad news.  Now we have COVID-19 Lite?  I would more ask does getting one confer immunity to the other, and what does this mean for vaccine development?

It can continue in the body for 28 in some cases.  Some people have recovered and then tested positive again weeks later.

Now they've found a second strain which is more deadly.

The coronavirus has mutated into at least two separate strains since the outbreak began in December, according to Chinese scientists.

Researchers say there are now two types of the same coronavirus infecting people – and most people seem to have caught the most aggressive form of it.

Symptoms show in as 4-14 days, contagious in as little as 15 hours..
Some reports as little as 5 hours but that would be way too scary...
