Unless you were in a really good place, it's difficult to see the curvature 
from 5,000'. However, I'm pretty sure I could see the curvature from the top of 
Haleakala. And I know you can see the curvature from the window of a 747 at 
35,000'.

Yeah. When I heard he was building a rocket to go 5,000 feet in the air
to prove the world was flat all I could think was "dude, a plane ticket
would be cheaper.".
