Ken, I tried to watch their video to see how that works, I am not sure if it’s still flat tape that you stick to itself then shrink it or a tube like we are used to? I had the same concern you did about making sure it’s on any cable prior to termination. Being able to wrap it around a cable then shrinking makes more sense. Justin, how does the heat shrink labeler work in that regard?

Unless the shrink ratio is such that you can slip the label over the plug. Even so, I am often labeling cables that are already plugged in. And if the objective is to label the cables outdoors in the middle of the cable somewhere, I don’t see how you use tubing. At that point I’d go with colored electrical tape or those ziptie tags that you write on with a Sharpie. I have some enclosures with a chart taped inside the door with stuff like AP1 north – 1 blue, AP2 east – 2 blue, 11 GHz backhaul – 1 orange. The cables have RHINO flexible nylon labels inside the enclosure, but outdoors just the tape we used to label the cables while pulling them.
