I remember back in the day, We didn’t ground our Canopy gear and we had very few issues with lightning and/or surges…
The fact that the Canopy radios were in a plastic case without any metal contact with the tower seemed like a good idea.. Even LMG with the Cyclone radios put a big block of some non-conductive material between the radio and the brackets… Should we reevaluate grounding and isolate instead? Im thinking of mouting the radios in SC40 pipe..
