I use Thunderbird, It's worked very well for years.
An Email address is a precious thing to some people. I have a potential
customer who calls me about once a year to get faster service from their
very slow and spotty rural DSL. But every year when I remind them they
would loose their ancient email address with the DSL Provider, then they
won't switch.

Not me. All of my mail is behind G-Suite for the most part, so I just
use G-Mail's web client.
The volume of $work email has drastically decreased over the past few
years.. most communication is via Slack now.
