I have always used scotchlock UR connectors, but only on non vibrational 
applications using  solid wires.

Where it is mobile(boat) and probably stranded wires, I would not use them.

I've always had good luck with the gel-filled butt splice connectors like 
these. They go on quick, and are reliable.
