Hi, We have applied for a developer token (some 2 years ago initially) and it's still pending. We are being asked for a good trading history before we are approved but we have almost 26,000+ products in our catalogue and we will be wanting to start our AdWords campaign with just over 5000 products and slowly increase our products to get most of them into AdWords campaigns (long tail products and all that). We also want to put prices within our ads and these prices change on a daily basis as these are commodity goods : printers, toners, inks and spare parts for said printers (HP alone have thousands of spare parts, rollers, gear wheels, etc etc). We don't want to have out of date prices in our ads like many other have as it's bad practice and creates complaints from customers.
As you can imagine 26,000+ products with prices that can vary daily is totally impractical to manage by hand, also if we update a price by hand as we all know a new ad is produced which then needs approving and so on making the API is the only sensible way to proceed for us. We aren't in a position to do this AdWords work manually to show a trading history as it's not remotely sensible or profitable to hire a team of 80+ skilled people to do this repetitive and tedious task on a daily basis (whereas a single computer can do this chore very easily each and every day). The question is, does anyone here know how we can we get a developer key without having to hire and pay 80+ staff for however long to add and update prices on ads on a daily basis to prove our good intent (whilst losing huge amounts of money) ?
