Hi, In response to your questions:
1) More information about the insertion text formats allowed is available here: http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/reference/latest/AdParamService.AdParam.html#insertionText I am not aware of a length limit, but if after the insertion the line becomes too long then the insertion won't be used. 2) I know you can use them in ad destination URLs, but I'm not sure about keyword destination URLs. Test it out and let us know.
