Thanks for the reply Peter. Looks like I'm doing it correctly then, however it does seem silly there's no way to do it in a single report. All the SQL database development is designed to reduce the number of calls made to the database through joins, yet here it seems like the service is limited to making lots of calls, and increasing load!
