My 2 cents... The ad_group_ad.ad object in the Google Ads API is a polymorphic object. It can contain different types of ads (text ads, image ads, video ads, etc.). The fields available within ad_group_ad.ad depend on the specific ad type. If the ad is a text ad, ad_group_ad.ad.name will be populated. If it's a different type of ad, that field will be null.
