Hello Del, here is the update: I have tested it with the TSM VE 7.1 on another (test) proxy and it works (there was one more problem there - on the Exchange VM you have to disable the UAC - which is mentioned here www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21647986 ) So we are going to upgrade the production VE client to 7.1.
Thanks again Harry -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [ADSM-L] TDP for Virtual Environments - Self Contained application MS Exchange Date: Fri, 2 May 2014 12:08:10 -0700 (PDT) From: Harry Redl <harry_r...@yahoo.com> Reply-To: Harry Redl <harry_r...@yahoo.com> To: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager <ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU> Hello Del, well - I will give it a try using different node as a proxy (and another node for storing the filespace). I have looked for APARs fixed in the 7.1 and found three concerning the VM backup (two even with application integration) - but the symptoms are not the same. Maybe it is just another manifestation of the same problem. http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IC93071 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IC98195 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IC96734 Will let you know Harry ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *From:* Del Hoobler <hoob...@us.ibm.com> *To:* ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU *Sent:* Friday, May 2, 2014 6:44 PM *Subject:* Re: [ADSM-L] TDP for Virtual Environments - Self Contained application MS Exchange Hi Harry, This looks like a bug that was fixed. It is fixed in the 7.1 client package. If you do not want to upgrade to 7.1, it will be fixed in the 6.4.2 PTF coming out this summer. Del ----------------------------------------------------
