FWIW, I asked one of the developers during a presentation on dedup & replication about using replication to migrate from noe architecture to another, and the answer was "definitely". The problem, of course, is that to get the 2 servers in sync you will need double the media. In your case, you could replicate just the archive data (yep, that's an option) if you wanted, then let the other stuff back up new. You can also use media import/export to "seed" the target server instead of trying to sync everything by replication alone. Wanda At 02:35 PM 8/8/2012, Allen S.
