Hi Mario,
If I don't remember wrong does TDP Ora using dsm.opt and dsm.sys in
../client/api/bin and not the one in /client/ba/bin
Also is it important that ORA user has read access to both files and write
access where you have specify to save the log files.

Next time, try to make a copy of the dsm.opt, dsm.sys and all other information
that we need to know to help you much better.

Any information form the Event Log or / var/log/message file?

Ämne: TDP Oracle ANS1035S error on Linux

Hi list,

I´ve installed TDP for Oracle 5.5.1.0 on a Linux 32bits machine. I am getting
the following error when executing the tdpoconf program...

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Databases:
Data Protection for Oracle
Version 5, Release 5, Level 1.0
(C) Copyright IBM Corporation 1997, 2008. All rights reserved.

ANS1035S (RC406) Options file '*' could not be found.

dsm.sys and dsm.opt both exists on .../oracle/bin and .../ba/bin directories.
tdpo.opt exists on /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/oracle/bin and the oracle user has
755 permissions on all these files and directories....TDPO_OWNER is root....

What could be wrong?

Mario
