Mr Sims and Mr Parker have it! When I was running "q inclexl" as the logged in user, it wasn't showing the exclusion. It looks like this environment variable is set for the account that the service is running under.
The Quick.Facts "Scheduler process, see its options" procedure pointed to the registry key. If so, TSM won't back up your 'c:\temp' folder because it is honoring the exclusion set in the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\Files NotToBackup\Temporary Files' registry key. In the dsm.opt there are 2 options: include.fs c: FILELEVEL=dynamic include.fs d: FILELEVEL=dynamic I think these are remnants from trying to troubleshoot snapshot issues. I can't imagine why this would exclude the temp directory. I'm removing these lines tonight to see what happens. Any ideas?
