We do use 2 options files (with 2 services) but this problem is happening
for both of them.
For the purposes of testing, I'm looking at only the dsm.opt file and
associated service.
I've verified the scheduler is pointing to the expected dsm.opt and here

Do you play any shell games with include-exclude lists or options files
(related to my earlier question about different opt files being used by
scheduler)?
Are the files deleted before the backup runs?
