Sanergy still exists (http://www-01.ibm.com/software/tivoli/products/sanergy/), but I have no idea how much money we're talking about here, or how well it works. Anyone?
If I had to guess, I'd say that the pricing of SANergy would make it more expensive than going the VTL route, especially if you bought a dedupe VTL.
