We just purchased the Tivoli Storage Manager for Microsoft SharePoint. I haven't installed it yet, so I can't tell you how well it works... Looks like there are numerous features. A bit pricey too...

The files and database structure of Microsoft sharepoint is complex enough that when it is time to come to recover or restore files, it is not as simple as the regular filespace or database restore. I am wondering if anyone has some insight as to what's best way to back up Microsoft Sharepoint. Can tivoli backup sufficient enough if not what is the best way or any suggestion as to what other backup methods, tools are available. I appreciate your suggestions.
