I think there are some misunderstandings. First step: you receive an userid/password to login to ISC, AdminCenter is there. IF you have an userid/password for TSM Server A, you can add it to your view on ISC to able to manage it. You use the "Add Server Connection" task for that. IF you have an userid/password for TSM Server B, ...., and so on.
The users and password can be completely differents, you want that! The ISC plays a role of single sign-on for the TSM instances. You log in ISC once, and all relationships TSM_Server/Admin/Password are kept encrypted inside ISC, so you don't need to provide them again when commanding some task on those TSM servers. Hi 1. Both ISC and TSM server password are unique 2. if you are able to login to ISC and not able to Add a TSM server connection that there is a possibility that either password which you are giving is wrong or your TSM server is not UP. Or is there a way to say in the ISC that the synchronizes the password, lets say that you can open a user, give a default password which then must be changed in the ISC and which is synchronized with TSM. If not, the user starts the ISC but is not able to connect to the TSM server because the password does not match. And then also the user has no possibility to change the password for TSM server in the ISC. Thanks for any help regards Werner Nussbaumer This email has been scanned for any virus infection at the sending end.
