Hi Sam! What you are referring to is called daisy chaining which can only be done with SCSI. Fiber channel requires a point-to-point connection, so I'm afraid your reseller is right... The other solution is to create 3 point-to-point connections and thus you have to have 3 FC ports on your server. If I remember this correctly one FC adapter has two ports, so you will need two adapters in your host. My guess is that that's cheaper than buying a switch.
