FYI- My TSM server is 4.1.4 on AIX 4.3.3. I had already been at Atape 6.1.9 and atldd 5.0.7, and was experiencing the 'lost track of tape drives problem'. Ended up having to upgrade the microcode on my fibre attached 3590e's to level E350. Poof...problem gone!

After talking to the support center I installed the latest versions of Atape(6.1.9.0) and Atldd(5.0.7.0) and haven't had a problem since.
