Hallo Guys, We just started to use this useful feature called retention sets in v817, but see that it lacks flexibility, if we wish to move tsm nodes with valid retention sets from server A to B.
IBM support says. "You cannot export retention sets nor retention rules." So you must rebuild these rules on new server after having done "export node" from server A to server B. Also, it is not documented how we can we "export nodes" with valid retention sets from server A to server B. They further suggested, To get this feature added in a new release, you can go thru RFE (request for enhancement). it's not guarantee that you'll get positive answer, but if several customers ask for the same thing it could lead development team to work on these requests.
