not sure about NT, but in unix, you can enter a line in the
dsm.sys file that will execute a command/script for you

POSTSCHEDULECMD /auscmvc1/usr/local/adm/adsm.mail

and have adsm.mail contain something like.

echo "See dsmsched.log for more details" | mail -s "Backup has finished"
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Everyone,
Can we notify a client that the backup was successful/not successful after
the backup schedule finishes. Say a screen pops up with the message "
Backup's done" or anything thing else which sends a signal to the user
about the Satus of his backup.
