The client we do this on is AIX 4.3.3 with TSM 3.7.0.0. Server (separate) is AIX
4.3.3. with TSM 3.7.4.0. Some people have reported different results, some had it
work with /tmp "after" ALL-LOCAL. Anyway, check that your incl/excl file doesn't
exclude /tmp or that any Client Option Set doesn't exclude.
It's possible the way this works may be version dependant. Any Tivoli folks have
specifics?
What does your dsmsched.log show on client for the backup? Does it even try /tmp?

Thanks for the suggestion, but it did not work for us. We are using TSM
4.1.1 on the AIX client. Our server is TSM 3.7.2 on AIX 4.3.2. (Not the same
AIX machine!)
What version of client and *SM server are you using. I am wondering which
piece of TSM is excluding /tmp over our objections. Client or Server?
It's getting to the point that we are growing so weary of this that we will
have to move the data. This installation was done many moons ago.
