Looking for some guidance on doing Full Restore's on a Windows 2000 server
with the new 4.1.2 client. I successfully get backups of the system
objects but need help in how to efficiently do the restore. In the past,
the bare metal restore would involve installing a new version of NT in a
different directory, doing the restore of NT and copying the ADSM.SYS
directory to \system32\config. Now I see that has changed. You can't
restore system objects to a server with a different name. That makes life
easier, but whenever doing the restore, the registry settings don't come
back. I've read some posts in regards to this and they reference inputting
a direct INCLUDE statement for the \adsm.sys directory, but nothing
appears to get backed up. I am obviously missing something the
documentation has been sketchy. There was to be a rebook out on this but
I don't think it was been released yet. Any help would be beneficial.
