After having audited and fixed three minor problems (ANR4270E AUDITDB: Extraneous file data reference found - information will be deleted.) in the DB (performance was approx.1GB/h), it turned out that the problem was not server/DB related: Restores still crashed after auditing/fixing. Next step was installing TSM/DFS client 3.7.2.0. After this the restore did not crash but still rejected to restore specific objects with msg ANR1165E Data-integrity error detected for file in storage pool (0): usw.usf. Only deleting the entire filespace and backing it up with the new client software enabled a successful restore ... A pain for managing hundreds of filespaces and GBs!
