I have just about the same setup, but with TSM 4.1.1, and in my q devclass command i get : Device Device Storage Device Format Est/Max Mount Class Access Pool Type Capacity Limit Name Strategy Count (MB) --------- ---------- ------- --------- ------ -------- ------ TAPE Sequential 5 8MM AITC 61,440.0 DRIVES So i guess the ADSM 3.1... doesnt know the size of AITC, but its only for calculating estimated size, it will fill untill end-of-tape in the backup process.
