I think there is a webpage somewhere describing the differences between Unix and Plan9. You may find https://pspodcasting.net/dan/blog/2019/plan9_desktop.html useful. The FQA on 9front site is pretty good if you have specific questions. plan9 man pages are agood but they tend to be concise. You have to read carefully. One suggestion: as you read a manpage, try out the command and its options and try to figure out what happens. Check the man page in the "See Also" section. If you screw something up, in the worst, but not very likely, case you may have to reinstall (and that is not a big deal in plan9). One more suggestion: *write* down your experience as you encounter issues and solve them. Write down things that may have helped you.
