I obtained the same behavior on Fedora 15. It doesn't happen on earlier releases of Fedora, even when using the same dynamically linked smtp binary. Probably you updated something like glibc before rebuilding. Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00000035db80edbb in raise () from /lib64/libpthread.so.0 -- David du Colombier
