if you install even one man page that's not in the distribution, you should do this yourself. see the realitively new /cron/sys/cron: # update manual indices 0 4 * * 0 local cd /sys/man && mk indices i have this installed in the hostowners account, but commented out. i run it by hand on an as-needed basis. - erik
