It uses the older LSI1068 chipset, so it's limited to 2 TB harddrives: http://www.supermicro.com/products/accessories/addon/AOC-USAS-L4i_R.cfm You could always check if there's an IT-mode firmware for the 921204i4e card available on the LSI website, and flash that onto the card.
