Thank you again for the suggestions. I was able to make this work
with lofiadm to mount the images. Then, be sure to give zpool the -d
flag to scan /dev/lofi
# lofiadm -a /jbod1-diskbackup/restore/deep_Lun0.dd
/dev/lofi/1
# lofiadm -a /jbod1-diskbackup/restore/deep_san01_lun.dd
/dev/lofi/2
# zpool import -d /dev/lofi
pool: deep
id: 8026270260630449340
state: ONLINE
status: The pool was last accessed by another system.
action: The pool can be imported using its name or numeric identifier and
the '-f' flag.
