I'm not sure how it's trolling. There have been 0 public statements I've seen from Oracle on their future plans for what was opensolaris. A leaked internal memo is NOT official company policy. Until I see source or an official statement, I'm not holding my breath.

It *is* a good question, given the Debacle around OpenSolaris releases.

The last update I see to the ZFS public tree is 29 Oct 2010. Which, I *think*, is about the time that the fork for the Solaris 11 Express snapshot was taken.

Given that there obviously was some time taken to stabilizing the release candidate, and the US holiday season, I suspect that it's just a matter of not having the ZFS tree source updated due to other time pressures.

I think that we can wait until early January before panicking.
