Nope, that doesn't count for confirmation. It is at least theoretically possible to implement raidz using techniques that would (a) unintelligently stripe all blocks (even small ones) across multiple disks, thus hurting performance on small operations, or (b) implement raidz such that striping of blocks behaves differently for small operations (plus parity).
