Hi Roi,

You need equivalent sized disks for a mirrored pool. When you attempt to attach a disk that is too small, you will see a message similar to the
following:

cannot attach c1t3d0 to c1t2d0: device is too small

In general, an "I/O error" message means that the partition slice is not available or ZFS is having trouble accessing the disk so you might have
multiple issues to resolve.
