That sounds that the only difference probably was the amount of data transferred on your and my system. We are working with media files here, each multiple Gigabytes, hence the varying mileage, I assume. FW 2010.x is concerned, my expectations are from past experience with last release. I test 2010 maybe even more rigidly before I will jump to it. "Technical" stability as you put it before, is basically the same for Dev and Release builds both from phenomenon and consequence perspective in a OpenSolaris environment.
