I want syslog to log these type of ZFS errors. I have syslog running and
logging all sorts of error to a log server. But this failed disk in ZFS pool
did not generate any syslog messages.
ZFS diagnosists engine are online as seen bleow.
hrs1zgpprd1# fmadm config | grep zfs
zfs-diagnosis 1.0 active ZFS Diagnosis Engine
zfs-retire 1.0 active ZFS Retire Agent
So, why is it not generating any syslog messages?
Try explicitly enabling fmd to send to syslog in
/usr/lib/fm/fmd/plugins/syslog-msgs.conf
-tim
